Yea, I have no idea how that happened. The background has always been like that so I've never really been bothered changing it. I think its something in the settings but haven't really looked into it. Do you by chance know what it is so I can fix it? I remember having the same problem when I was compiling maps with source SDK, the sky box for every map I made was checkered.

The checkering is ... nothing is assigned to that area. There was a map on another server where all the trees did not render properly and they looked like that. Looks like you have custom skins, so maybe nothing was put there to help fps .....?

hmm, maybe. The only skins I use are the green and red player skins. Makes it easier to see the enemy. I looked for maybe a console command but I got nothing. I'm going to uninstall and reinstall DoD:S. Keep my player skins and put them back when I reinstall. Then hopefully when it re-downloads all the maps, I won't have this problem. I'll let you guys know later if it works or not.
