Steam Account Hijacking #2 - Trade offers .img

Hey ho together,

due to recent activities on my profile and our younger and less experienced audience on our server, I would like to inform/warn everyone NOT TO CLICK ON ANY LINKS posted as trade offers. In the last 2 days, I had 3 random people posting a link on my profile, which automatically downloads a file on your computer and installs a trojan, if you click it. So please, don't click any of those links!

This version is a little different, since people tell you to click on their screenshot to view their trade offer and directly infect you. After a little research, I found a few guides how to handle this:

Here are a few things to watch out for:


1. Don't click any links asking you to check a screenshot.
2. You can check those sites with http://web-sniffer.net/ to see what would happen if you would have clicked it. Without infecting you and providing infos about the other guys IP etc.
3. Report those guys on Steam as 'Suspected Hijacker or Phishing'.
4. Block that person.
5. Delete that message on your profile.
