I thought of this idea when I was in-game. When you're in-game and need to contact an admin or type a message to everyone you can just type "@" or "@@@" then your message in either normal or team chat depending on who you want to contact. I thought something similar could be set up in the mini-chat box but with All, Members, Admins, Officers, Recruiting Officers, Generals etc. This might be good if say, the SRO needed to send a quick message all the ROs or a General needed to send a message to all the Generals instead of having to post a topic in the appropriate forum or send a PM. It's just an idea for the forums that I think might work out well.

It's definitely a good idea, but unfortunately isn't something that is already built-in to the chat system. When I get a chance I'll dig into the code and see if it wouldn't be too difficult to add.

Hmm, I would've thought it was built-in. I know that the Shoutbox for MyBB has those features.

It is possible, but would take a lot of work. Besides, the mini-chat is intended for casual and public chat, and is not really appropriate for discussions that should only be seen by a certain group (generals, RO's, server admins, etc.). For those types of things, you can send a PM to the appropriate group, and all members of that group will receive it.

Yeah, never thought about asking if that could be fixed. The text should stay on for 3 or 4 seconds if possible, would be better..
