I think putting maybe 1 or 2 stock maps would be good. Also having v3_op as every 2nd map would keep the server unique. For example:
dod_donner -> dod_orange_the_tower_v3_op -> dod_orange_complex_adreV2 -> dod_orange_the_tower_v3_op -> dod_orange_the_tower_v4 -> dod_orange_the_tower_v3_op -> etc.

24/7 stock map servers are among the top 50 DOD:S servers. See for yourself:

If everyone paints their house brown and you want to stand out, you'd paint your house brown?

If those are the top servers ... then there's a lot of competition, I thought we were unique.... well, that's why I played this server to begin with, it was a 24-7 orange server, unlike the others.

When the server was down after the update I tried playing some jagd and flash. There were only one flash server that had over 10 players and that was a russian one and they had !medic but only two per life, the most active jagd server didn't have any mods other than stats.
By seeing that I can say there's not so many servers that have our kind of mods and probably no stock map server at all having our setup of mods with !medic, parachute, more ammo and side-arm for every class. That is why I would like to have a rotation so I get to play and also see how others play these kinds of maps with our mods.

We could atleast try it out guys.

Well, sure we are unique becuase IMO we still got our community with all those regular players who come and go. Besides that, like XMas said we got our mods making DoDS such a fun.
The reason I become a member was besides I played on SRRP anyways all the time the nade bonus and !medic. Before SRRP, I only played on those standard maps and had a lot of fun as well. Sure we are known for our _op and orange maps, but now and then some variations are not bad, people wont get bored and rotation will be more competitive for everyone.
Everyone has its unique gameplay but after a while you just know where your enemy will be.
e.g. If Im pinned down in spawn, just check the spots on 5, top and 4 for snipers, windows for mgs/snipers, and dodge the nades from those running towards you or the ones above the spawn. Everything gets pretty predictive and boring after some time...
Sure orange only might be good but for me personally those standard maps have something nostalgic reminding me of my first time with DoDS^^

I used to be a regular on RSS ... you get 10 nades. You know me and nades, right? They have medic, parachute, etc.

*shrug*

I too like the 'predictability' of the only orange tower map on this server, but also believe that a map rotation would enhance server participation in the long run. Just look at the <SK> (Suicide Kings) clan server. They have a myriad of very fun maps & they are as populated, if not more so, than ours is. They limit their maps to 20 minutes & have 1 great plug in that I believe is the base of their success, & that is the floating elevation using the spacebar. That allows access to rooftops that otherwise would not be accessible.

NeckBBreaker makes a good point about the spawn domination effect. To me that situation creates a good challenge to figure out how to get out of, but many public players will log off if it goes on too long which sometimes results in the server dying.

Also, I believe that we should continue to have more yellow tower maps to keep our uniqueness, which, IMO, is a big draw for us by non-members.

really only map I care about being on the rotation is foxhunt, I do have an orange version of it too.
