Thank you everyone, please keep this up for awhile longer. Generals next time it crashes and don't come back up. don't restart it. please let me or Swamp know asap. we are currently in "negotiations" with gameserver support to try and fix the server. they want us to let it stay down the next time it crashes and wont restart on its own.

Hope we dont have to wait too often. I could imagine that the server stays offline the whole day if we cant contact you two.
Lets see if the other Gens will read that post as well, no restarts from me anymore till you say we can again.

keeping posting about crashes, but generals can restart the server again. still not fixed so we need the crash reports help let us know if anything we're doing works.

Like most people I have the server on my Favorites and when it has crashed and I want to play, I look in my Favorites and it isn't there so I can't connect just like everybody else. But I would like to inform that during the last year when the server has crashed, I have almost always been able to connect, others too, to it through the Steam Server window in the Internet tab but only when I have Alt-Tab'ed out of the game. While in-game the server doesn't appear in any of the tabs even though I am connected and in-game.

What can be the problem behind that? Clearly the server is online and playable but at the same time it shows up as offline on Steam, Gameservers.com and Gametracker.com.

Yes the server crashed at 4:26 EST, that's because we moved to a server box in Atlanta Georgia. If it proves to be more stable and not a big difference to our Euro and far away players then we might stay there. If not we can move the server back to New Jersey within a month and we should be put on a different server box there then the one we were using.

*EDIT* my bad, it wasn't moved yet it was just a crash. BUT we will be moving the server.
