What did you try, and when did you try it? There have been some incredible advances in vaping in the past year.

Well the crap stuff is unfortunately still sold. What exactly did you try?

The innovations I spoke of are much better atomizer designs, variable voltage/variable wattage devices that allow you to adjust the amount of power sent to the atomizer for your specific preferences and what works best for a particular juice (some juices work great at low power but are horrible at higher power, some work great at high power but are horrible at lower power, and some work best at medium power).

And there is some great stuff for people who like to tinker -- rebuildable atomizers (where you wrap your own atomizer coils), high drain batteries that allow for vaping at crazy high wattages, and so forth. Right now I'm using a dual coil, extremely low resistance atomizer I built which puts out so much vapor that just a few puffs delivers as much nicotine as an entire cigarette. Of course I use liquid with much lower nicotine with this setup.

Also, for best results, you can't vape exactly like you smoke a cigarette. When vaping, most of the nicotine is absorbed through the oral mucosa (gums, cheek, throat, etc.). Inhaling it deep into your lungs like a cigarette doesn't do much because the vapor particles are much larger than smoke particles, so they can't get deep enough into the alveoli for efficient nicotine delivery via the lungs.
