Private Ryan banned 30 days for admin/server disrespect. Repeatedly saying how much the server sucks because of crashes. I told him to show respect or leave. He persisted and told me to "take a chill, dude".

I commented on how the server sucks after having it crash again. Gen.Werewolf was bothered by it and started saying to show some respect. I stated to not take it personally but the server crashes all the time so it must not be very good. I persisted in arguing how the server is lousy because it crashes all the time. I read that you are defense attorney Gen.Werewolf, but even you cannot argue the quality of the physical server since it crashed 3 times in a 1 hour span. Gen.Werewolf may have taken it that SRRP sucks, which is not what I was saying.

Pretty crazy that someone can get banned for something like this especially since what I did does not violate any of the rules.

If I came to your home and commented your house was not that good or not as nice and well kept would you not say something?
Would I be welcome? Would I be welcome back?
The server is a machine. Like all machines things go wrong. We are aware of these problems and is being looked into. These people who repair the server have real lives and work on it on their own time. We are grateful for this.
Your comment was totally disrespectful whether you see it or not. If you don't like what's going on around here - LEAVE. No one wants to listen to your belly aching and crying about something your not happy with.
Your ban is for one month. I'd take this time to think this through. It's a shame as much as you play here you couldn't figure this out on your own. When you return I would be very humble and mature or it will be a permanent ban next time.
Since you took the time to look up Werewolf being a defense attorney you should have dug a little deeper. He also use to be a prosecutor.

Review the session if you want. Some guy asked what happened. Being a frequent player, I said the server sucks and crashes all the time or something like that. I have heard similar things said from SRRP members. Gen.Werewolf freaked out like I had just insulted his wife. I specifically stated that the physical server sucks, not SRRP.

Not trying to be a dick but what exactly is wrong with the server? Also, how is disciplinary action decided?

You just don't get it.

Some Pubs think they can come in to a server, play for free, not be part of the clan and complain about things in a non-constructive and insulting way, without consequence. It's spewing a sense of entitlement and lack of respect that bothers us the most. It's systemic with your generation. We see it all the time. Our clan members are used to the occasional crashes but don't whine about it. Neither do most pubs. They just deal with it and play on.

You repeated your comment about the server "sucking" with other players present. I told you that you were being disrespectful and that you are welcome to leave. While it's true that you tried to walk back your comments by saying it was the mechanics of the server that you had a problem with, you never once apologized for your disrespect. Telling me to "chill out, dude" didn't help your cause, either. I'm not your dude, and I'm older than your Dad. This has been my clan for 10 years.

Interestingly, Gen. Hannibal and I, without consulting each other before he wrote his response to you, said almost the same thing. Most younger admins might not have taken the action I did, but there are other admins who wouldn't have put up with your attitude, either.

The length of a ban is determined solely by the admin that imposes it, on a case by case basis. In that regard, It may vary from admin to admin or infraction to infraction. Certain infractions like racism, obvious hacking and intentional team killing will get a perm ban. Admin disrespect is another infraction, and it's a matter of degree on that one. You got one month.

I could care less that the server crashed. I did not complain about it crashing, just stating the obvious that it crashes all the time after another person asked what happened...It seems like a sore subject for whatever reason so I guess in the future when it crashes, I won't say anything

Here are your Banning rules as stated on this forum:

Racism: Permanent ban
Intentional team killing: Temporary ban up to 1 week
Disrespect towards others: Temporary ban up to 1 week
Hacking: Permanent ban (must submit proof to a SRRP General)
Speaking a language other than English: Mute or kick, possible ban for repeat offenders
Porn spray: Change of spray
Unreadable name: Change of name
Advertising another clan: Temporary ban up to 1 week

Technically I did not even disrespect a single person but it could possibly be construed that I disrespected the server. Should be a 1 week ban if you follow your own rules

At this point this thread needs to be locked, Ryan just take the month and come back later. The server welcomes donations and it would help these "problems" that you perceive.
