Tournament

Postby Col.Supa L3git » Tue Apr 17, 2012 3:42 pm

Well the SRRP Tournament is coming up here. I just wanted to put down the specifics, and hopefully we can decide on a date, and get the teams all ready.

Well the first matter would be the date and Time. I have two dates in mind here; May 13th, June 17th. These are Sundays, and we could have them in the afternoon, like 1:00 - 3:00 Est. Please post you comments about the time and date below, but this is NOT the sign up sheet, so post what ever times you think would be good for the majority.

Next would be teams. I am hopeing for Eight teams of four, but this would only work in a perfect world. I am not sure if we can get that large of a turn out. I will make ajustments to the teams and bracket when sign ups are over. As motivation to come and play we will have prizes. Each member of the winning team will be able to choose one game under $10-$5 Dollars.

This would be an ideal bracket, but once again things don't always work out, so teams will be ajusted according to the number of players we get to sign up.
Thanks,
John

Ps: Not sure what is wrong with the bracket, Let me fix it, and Ill get back to you.

Having it on an afternoon (US time) would make it an evening event for us in Europe which works for me and having it in June means no school the day after (I don't know how it is for the rest of you guys).
And do we have any members who is not from the American and European part of the world?

I'm not in America or Europe, I'm in Australia which means that the times will be completely different for me but I will find out what the time difference is and get back to you.

Edit
1:00-3:00pm is about 3:30-5:30am where I live. So that's early in the morning on Monday for me. That doesn't work too well as I have many things to do on a Monday and it's very early in the morning. But the time of the tournament doesn't have to change for me because then it will cause change for everyone else and mess up the timings for Europe.

I'm in this!

I suggest you randomize the teams, if you aren't doing so already.

Weekends, From 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM CST is good for me.
