Admin Abuse. Ferret [SpaceCowboy] ★

First of all I want to preface this with a few words.
I used to be a M/Sgt in SRRP and used to frequent this server constantly, stuff came up and I didn't attend the meetings etc.
But I still played on this server cause it's fun and has a great atmosphere!
I have never had a problem with any of the admins before, most of them are great people.
Nor have I had a problem with following the SRRP rules.
Especially Wolf.

Secondly, Wolf was there when it happened the first time.

I created an account just to make this post because this is just RAMPANT admin abuse by [SRRP]Col.Frizian.
Who was obviously upset I was killing him and his team.
I had a spray, that somehow upset [SRRP]Col.Frizian.
The spray in question:



At the time when he asked me to change it, he didn't type a single thing and my sound was off at the time.
(Otherwise I would have changed it right away)
So I got kicked.

Okay fine, we all have our bad days.
So I left the server that night and didn't play for the next 3 or so days.
I changed my spray to:



and decided to keep playing. Everything is going fine for a few mins, then [SRRP]Col.Frizian joins the server and I kill/wound him a few times...

Even if you don't unban me and/or fix the admin abuse.
It's been an honor playing with every single one of you.

Not my decision but your spray is offensive and could easily be considered as racism. Only YOU know your intent but it is pretty clear to me your intent.. As for the followup spray it shows ADMIN Disrespect. So you were a ADMIN here but still chose to have a spreay like that and then show up the admin who called you on it. I'm glad your gone as admin. You should be perma banned again, Just my opinion.

Is it the noose?
Or is it because one of the most traditional ways of execution ie. hanging or commonly used methods to take ones own life for millennia is racist due to your American bias/cultural beliefs of "lynching"?

There is no clear intent, you only give this picture the intent you imply or associate based on your cultural/societal background.
Anything else is false accusations, I have never used a racial slur or any sort of racist remark on the SRRP server.

Furthermore it's just me stating why I had to change my spray in the spray itself.
There is no disrespect, just the truth. "Yes I had to censor my spray because an admin told me to do so."
That above statement is true by inherent logic.
It's obvious you're trying to paint me like the bad guy because you're not looking at the situation objectively and would rather back the opinion/side of an SRRP admin, which is understandable.

Secondly, the spray is pretty annoying could be unpleasant/disturbing to look at for specific players. You also state that hanging people is a sensitive topic for specific races (lynching). So yes it is offensive to some players.
Lastly, your change in spray is disrespectful, and will certainly make us sympathize with u.

Were these kills teamkills or were you playing on the opposite team?
To be honest, I don't see any racism from that pic. I should add that I'm from Germany and maybe I just don't know if this is a common pic for any kind of a sign or if it's just the hanging guy like I see in it. I did not follow any political insights, that this pic might include.

I think you were given a temporary ban anyways, so max a week, but of course this matter will be cleared up asap.

Ok, you were an admin for us not too long ago. Factor out the first incident about the first spray, if you were still an admin and saw your 2nd spray somewhere on the server wouldn't you have handled it in the same way at the time? I hope you would have because you would have been doing your job properly. Your second spray whether meant as a joke or not is admin disrespect. You are stating that the only reason you are using this spray is because an admin said your previous one was offensive and kicked you. Now since you haven't provided a steamID I cant check to see if your ban is temporary or not, some of are admins consider admin disrespect a serious offense and can/will perm ban you for it. In all likelihood it is only a temp ban though. Serve the time come back to the server if you so desire.

P.S
Beauty, art, offensive material and the like are all in the eye of the beholder. Just because you don't see it as offensive doesn't mean someone else won't. Hanging isn't just linked to lynching and acts of racism and bigotry, it is also a common form of suicide which can strike deeper then racism.

Sadly these days the internet has gone crazy people take offence to any rubbish and personally I think it's very sad and I do think sometimes srrp does take things alittle to deep. Personally Ur first spray I'd have no problem with it as we are a pg server and iv seen more hardcore stuff via Disney when Donald duck gets attacked with a bayonet some may say that curlty to animals but society accepts it.... I have to say I do believe maybe the banning admin may have picked on you abit for the first spray but your second one is disrespectful and you didn't help yourself.

But yea the wrong thing with are server is stuff like this and it annoys me seeing it as people are trying to have a joke and then power hungry people with no life ruin it and we loose another active player.

I believe ANYONE that uses or posts a controversial a spray as someone being hung, whether it's by lynching, homicide, suicide or any other reason is looking to get a reaction. Otherwise why post something so gruesome. This is a GAMING server where gaming is what it is about. Gaming is suppose to be fun. If you want to rebel, post controversial stuff for a reaction, or state your 1st amendment rights do it on a blog site. you are so right. It is rubbish! I was on the server when they were playing and no one was being picked on. There have been alot of better players on this server then Ferret. So to say the admin didn't like being killed by him is ridiculous. He warned him verbally as soon as he saw it. Then kicked him. Take your sick jokes elsewhere. Oh and by the way THIS is not a art server where you get points for creativity you get kicked and possibly banned for being ignorant. As for it being a Microsoft Feelguy jpg. I checked the site, I couldn't find that exact picture but I did find a picture of a head and noose that someone created that is similar but it appears as though you changed it a bit. Ignoring the first spray, the second smartass spray is blatant admin disrespect and it alone is worthy of a perm ban IMO. The amount of trouble he went to make it makes it even worse.

I personally don't have an issue with your original spray, as I do not consider it to be in any way racist. However, if another player came to me with a sincere complaint about it, I would have asked you to change it. Now, had it been of a black man hung from a tree limb, it would be a different story, and you would most likely have been given a permanent ban for blatant racism.

But your second spray was the real issue here; it clearly was a matter of admin disrespect. All of our admins have differing views on what is offensive, so if you are asked to change your spray you should immediately do so. Then, if you think that your spray should not have been seen as offensive, post a message here on the forums, and a General can make the final call on whether you can use that spray on our server.
